The UK Border Agency and the British Government are committed to providing a high standard of service to all our customers.  We process and take a decision on every visa application, and then return your passport to you, as quickly as possible.

Information about all types of visa applications is available on this website and that of the UK Border Agency. We also have an agreement with an external agency to provide advice and information by telephone, call 0900 48472 to access this, calls cost $3.30 per minute. You will need to make this call from a phone which is not restricted from calling 0900 numbers. Alternatively for the cost to be charged to your credit card you may call 0800 448 972  (NZ$12 per call, whatever the length of the call).

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has agreed to act as a collection agent for biometric data on behalf of the British High Commission and UK Border Agency in New Zealand. By doing so they have provided more enrolment centres, which gives greater flexibility to UK visa applicants in New Zealand.

INZ is simply acting as a collection agent, and has no involvement in the UK entry clearance process. They are not able to use or copy the information collected on our behalf. The biometric data is recorded using the British Government’s own enrolment systems used worldwide.

INZ cannot provide general advice on UKvisa applications, nor can they comment on individual applications. However, an advice leaflet is available from INZ offices. Further enquiries should be directed to the British High Commission in Wellington.

At each biometric centre INZ has a specific office area clearly marked and set up. Follow the signs to the biometric waiting area and wait to be called. Do not join the main INZ queue.
